A poolside cocktail, a beachfront beer, or a late-night dance session on a rooftop – there’s no shortage of bars in Bali for you to enjoy a cheeky tipple. Whether you fancy knocking back a pint of Bintang or sipping on an expertly mixed martini, you won’t be able to resist our pick of Bali’s best bars, all of which boast of spectacular views and splendid cocktails.
Mrs Sippy Bali
Bali with its fabulous beaches and famous clubs is pretty much nirvana for anybody looking to have a great time. For the frequent Bali holiday goers, though, there’s not much you can do to impress. Mrs Sippy Bali, however, has upped the excitement on the island and you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t L-O-V-E this place.
Twin saltwater pools take centre stage while diving skills take over the guests. Welcome to Mrs Sippy – Seminyak’s coolest hangout. The reputation of their massively exhilarating saltwater pools has reached the ears of those staying outside Bali limits with people booking the sunniest daybeds in advance. Sip on delicious cocktails and snack on wood-fired pizzas as the day turns to night and the party scene explodes!
Mrs Sippy Bali is synonymous with oodles of fun – not just for adults, but also for the kids. They have special activities for the kids, but the pool becomes adults-only after 12 pm. So, pack your swimsuits and head over to Mrs Sippy Bali with the kids for breakfast and several sessions of ‘jumping off the diving board’. The best part? It’s located just 10 minutes from your private villa in Chandra. Hop on over to this super cool beach club to swim in the Island’s largest saltwater pools.

Ku De Ta
This legendary lounge bar sits right on the Seminyak beach and is just a hop, skip and jump from Chandra Villas. A great sunset venue with an impressive cocktails list and fabulous food – this one is an absolute must-visit while in Bali. An ideal venue to enjoy scrumptious breakfasts, hearty brunches and lunches, as well as pleasing tapas with the close company of friends or a lively sunset gathering with cocktails. Don’t forget to reserve in advance!
Another world-class venue, Potato Head is a part beach club and part art gallery featuring the (‘oh-so-popular’) vertiginous, elliptical walls designed as a modern homage to Rome’s Colosseum. A bit more up-market than Ku De Ta, this top spot on Seminyak Beach features a massive pool, complete with a pool bar and day beds, perfect to lay back and catch one on of those gorgeous pink sunsets while sipping cocktails.
Potato Head attracts lots of young crowds, especially on weekends, so make sure you go early or better still, reserve.
Looking for a classy place to wine and dine? Look no further than Woo Bar at the W Seminyak. They offer free pool access without a minimum spend. Settle down by the beachfront with a cocktail and some Asian food. As the night draws closer, the pool area turns into a hot spot where you can dance along with the beats of endless performances in the dim neon-coloured lighting.
The Rock Bar in Uluwatu is one of the world’s finest bars with a one-of-a-kind ambience like no other! Incredible views combined with signature cocktails and world-class DJ’s all set atop a platform seamlessly built into a unique natural rock formation with crashing waves below and endless views of the ocean beyond – simply magical! Rock Bar is one of the coolest spots in Bali to watch the sunset with some gourmet tapas, world-class wine and signature cocktails.
The bar has a strict dress code and you should ideally go at around 4 pm if you want a good seat with unblocked views of the sunset.
This colourful and quirky Mexican bar has an intoxicating atmosphere that will set the scene for an intimate evening with your partner. Motel Mexicola in Seminyak offers an extensive and delicious Mexican fare and 13 different tequilas! Afternoons here are perfect for a scrumptious brunch and at night the place comes alive with mariachi music.
A laid-back beach bar, perfect for those lazy evenings when you don’t feel like dressing up! This Spanish café on Seminyak beach has a two-level seating – colourful bean bags on the beach and a quirky wooden setup on the rooftop. Great place for Spanish tapas and pitchers of Sangria or Bintang.
An exquisite combination of breathtaking ocean views along with delicious Spanish and Mediterranean food – El Kabron is perfect for sunset drinks. Get yourself lost in the magical views, sangrias, cocktails and scrumptious tapas. Dinner date has never been so fabulous!
Karma Beach Club
This absolute beachfront bar is located at the bottom of a cliff on one of Bali’s hidden beaches in Ungasan with white sands and sparkling blue water. How do you get down here? Well, that’s where the fun begins. You can choose to take the stairs, but we recommend taking the inclinator ride ($2) to the bottom to make the most of the panoramic views. Get your cocktails and wood-fired pizzas, sunbathe on the deck chairs and parasols or go snorkelling. As the night falls, the beach turns into a party haven with live bands and international DJs.
If you just really feel like letting your hair down with a few cocktails and amazing views, Single Fin, Bali’s most popular Sunday sesh venue is the place for you. As the sun sinks into the ocean, the place comes alive with great music including international DJs, fantastic food and a laidback atmosphere.
