Seminyak is hands down one of the best places to stay in Bali (if we say so ourselves). However, what’s a vacation if you don’t explore the surrounding regions. One of our favourite places to visit for a day is Nusa Lembongan. It is a quiet, peaceful place, perfect for some relaxed time away from the tourist hubbub. The beaches are beautiful and uncrowded most of the times.

Getting to Nusa

You can get to Nusa, first by taxi to the ferry, which will take you 30 minutes, and then by ferry, which will take you 20 minutes. Ferries leave every 1 hour, so you can slurp on coconut water while you wait. We at Chandra, take pride in providing personalised services to all our guests. You can let us know in advance about your travel plans to Nusa, and one of our chauffeurs will be happy to drive you to the ferry.

Jon Olsson went on a day trip to Nusa Lembongan and chronicled his adventures – his amazing beachfront villa, having local beer, swimming with manta rays and ending the day watching the sun go down from their villa.

What to do in Nusa

2. Elephant Ride

If you’re on the way to the Pod Chocolate Factory you actually pass by Bali Elephant Camp. A 30-minute elephant ride will take you around the camp to look at monkeys, birds and other wildlife. So get the best seat in the house and tour the beautifully landscaped camp via elephant! After the elephant ride, you can take a long trek along the beautiful Valley of Ayung River.

If you have just one day in Nusa, you must visit this restaurant even just for a quick drink.
